Joe Zentis earned a Master’s Degree and completed course work for a doctoral degree in Comparative Literature at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. While in graduate school, he had articles published in Yale Theater, England’s Theater Quarterly, and London’s Time Out magazine. He taught for two years at Villa Maria College in Erie, PA. He then moved on to work as communications specialist for a multi-national corporation, an international professional organization, and a multi-million dollar manufacturing firm. In those positions, he designed, edited, and produced bi-weekly newsletters and monthly magazines. He wrote two half-hour TV business reports that were produced by NBC Business Video and aired on commercial TV. He also wrote and produced ten nationally aired TV commercials. As a freelance writer, he has had hundreds of articles published on everything from resort design to locomotive manufacturing processes, World War II veterans, and pet cemeteries. He has won several awards for his writing:
  • GE Transportation Systems: for outstanding promotion of Continuous Improvement quality programs
  • WSEE TV: for essay on freedom
  • Writer’s Digest: honorable mention in article contest
  • Pennwriters: contest awards in both fiction and nonfiction
