Navy Nurse, wife, mother, poet and author Bea O’Brien has experienced the full spectrum that life has to offer, from wonder and excitement to fear and sorrow. Through good times and bad, her positive attitude and perservering spirit have stood by her through it all like a pair of faithful friends.

This candid look at her early years makes one pause to think how lucky we are to live in this country with its freedoms, thanks to the efforts of many lives lost or damaged in the dark days of World War Two.
