Shipping

Items ordered from Green Street Press may be shipped to any address in the United States. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations, so be sure to check out our shipping restrictions.

Delivery Time

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Shipping date estimates will appear in the order form. After placing your order, you will see both shipping and delivery date estimates in the order confirmation e-mail and in the order summary in Your Account.

Calculating Cost

Shipping costs for orders from Green Street Press depend upon the method and option you choose.

If you choose to group items into as few shipments as possible, you'll be charged for one regular per-shipment fee, as well as a per-item fee for each item in that shipment.

If you choose to ship items as soon as they become available, we'll charge you full per-shipment fees for each shipment as well as a per-item fee for each item.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Shipping Restrictions

Warranty issues and manufacturer restrictions prevent us from shipping certain products to all geographical locations. You'll be notified while placing your order if we're unable to ship specific items to the address you've selected. Below are some general guidelines for items shipped by Green Street Press to the following destinations:

• Alaska and Hawaii
• APO/FPO Addresses
• U.S. Protectorates (including Puerto Rico)
• Prisons
• International Shipping Help

Books that require special handling because they are extremely heavy (for example, multi-volume sets) can be shipped only to locations within the U.S. Please also check the product detail pages for this and any other item-specific shipping restrictions.

Alaska and Hawaii Addresses

Most items can be shipped to Alaska and Hawaii addresses, except food, plants, perishables.

Additionally, some items can't be shipped to Alaska or Hawaii if they are extremely heavy, oddly-shaped, or considered hazardous. Check the item's product detail page for eligibility and available shipping options. Only specific shipping options may be available for some addresses. Available shipping options will appear at checkout when you enter a shipping address.

APO/FPO Addresses

Most items can be shipped to APO/FPO addresses, except: electronics and services, furniture, food, plants, perishables

Additionally, some apparel, camera and photo, electronics, health and personal care, housewares, jewelry, software, sports, and tools and hardware items cannot be shipped to APO/FPO addresses. Check the item's product detail page for eligibility.

U.S. Protectorates (including Puerto Rico)

Only the following items can be shipped to U.S. Protectorates:

• baby items
• books
• DVDs
• music
• software
• toys
• VHS videos
• video games

Prisons

Green Street Press delivers to penitentiaries, but we strongly suggest you contact the prison first to confirm that they accept deliveries and to note any special regulations the prison might have. Some prisons don't allow delivery of hardcover books. Others place a limit on the number of items contained in a package.

We're unable to affix any special labels or instructions to the packages and on the outside will indicate only the destination address, our company name, and our return address. We also cannot allow gifts to be sent anonymously to inmates; the sender's billing address will appear on the order invoice.

Because inmates cannot sign for deliveries, packages must be sent via U.S. Mail. While Green Street Press often sends packages via U.S. Mail, we also use UPS, FedEx, and Airborne/DHL. Unfortunately, there is no way for customers to request a specific shipper. To avoid delivery problems, you might consider having the items shipped to you and then shipping them to the penitentiary via U.S. Mail.

Merchant Shipping

Green Street Press Merchant shipping rates, methods, and terms are set by individual merchants, not by Green Street Press. This information will appear on your order summary page when you are ready to make your purchase.

To check whether a particular merchant's shipping rates are available select the appropriate product category (e.g., Apparel), and then browse for the merchant's name. If you do not find the merchant you're looking for, you can still find shipping information through that merchant's product detail pages. Just scroll to the bottom of the product details, and you will see a box that contains a link to the Shipping Information page and to other merchant pages.

Merchant Shipping Time

Sellers agree to ship within 2 business days of your purchase. Expected transit times for each shipping method are listed below.

• Standard U.S.: 4 to 14 business days after shipping (may take up to 21 business days)
• Expedited U.S.: 2 to 6 business days after shipping

Merchant shipping times are not guaranteed and the actual performance varies by seller.

Merchant Shipping Charges

Your shipping fees are fixed according to the type of product you purchase.

Rates are based on shipping a single item. Purchasing multiple items results in multiple shipping charges--there are no "per shipment" and "per item" charges, as there are when you buy directly from Green Street Press.
